Nigerian Educational Digest

EDITORIAL POLICY

The Nigerian Educational Digest (NED), is an annual (June) Journal of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Nigeria that was first published in June 2012, and was funded by TETFund. The NED Journal is currently registered with National Library of Nigeria and index in Google Scholar. Therefore, all well-researched articles submitted from scholars of various disciplines, institutions and countries shall be peer reviewed; and will be subjected to Plagiarism test to avoid falling into predatory journals category.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

The articles must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English Language, French and Arabic to enable comprehension from specialists and non-specialists. The author(s) must be consistent in spelling – either American English or British English.
All articles shall be maximum of 12 pages, “12” font, 2.0 (double) line spacing and Times New Romans, Alignment should be justified. The article(s) must not have been published or sent for consideration elsewhere. All submitted article(s) shall be sent to two or more assessors on a blind review format. The papers are to be submitted in Word document as an attachment e-mail to:  manuscriptcrediit@kwcoeilorin.edu.ng.
The submitted articles should be in the following format: Title page; Main article; References/Bibliography; Tables and Figures; Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest; Consent Letter; Acknowledgement.

The Title Page
The Title page should be on a separate page and must include title of the paper, author(s) name, affiliation, e-mail and contact number(s).

The Main Article
The main article (separate) should have an abstract of not more than 200 words, five (5) Keywords and main text with the following headings: Introduction; Literature; Methodology; Results and Discussion; Conclusions and Recommendations and References. All must not be more than 4,000 words including the abstract, text, Tables, Figures and references.

References/Bibliography
All articles must be rich in references and literature/empirical citations. Except in rare circumstances, references and literature citations should not be above 10 years. Importantly, the Journal accept only articles that adhere strictly to APA 6th or 7th editions. However, the author must be consistent to either of the options.
 
Tables and Figures
Tables and Figures must be properly labeled including title and source(s), footnotes, appendix and references/ bibliography.

Disclosure or Declaration of Conflict of Interest
If article is co-authored, Disclosure or Declaration of Conflict of interest statement is required on a separate page.

Consent Letter
If the study is carried out with humans or animal, consent letter should be on a separate page.

Acknowledgement
The source of financial grants and other source(s) of funding must be dully acknowledged. The contribution of colleagues and institutions should also be acknowledged.
