A team from the National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) recently paid an inspection visit to the KWACOEDi water factory in the College to assess the level of compliance with the established standards for the production of table water.
While receiving the team in his office the Provost of the College Dr. AbdulRaheem Yusuf reiterated the commitment of his administration to the fulfillment of his promise to make the College less dependent on government subvention. He told members of the team that all is now set for the take-off of the factory. He therefore urged them to expedite action on their report so that the machines installed in the factory could be put to use without delay.
Dr, Yusuf projected that the factory would conveniently take care of the water needs of staff, students and the host community when it starts full operation. He stated further that within the first three months of its operation, the factory would concentrate on the production of sachet water after which it would commence of table (Bottled) water.
The leader of the team Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, an Assistant Chief Laboratory Technologist, expressed satisfaction with on the equipments and other facilities on ground.
He appreciated the market friendly environment of the College and urged her to take full advantage of this. He promised that the sample of the water his team would be analysed in the agency’s laboratory in Kaduna and the result would be communicated within ninety days.
