The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has charged the newly matriculated students of the University in Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin affiliate centre to shun vices and make good use of the opportunities presented to them by their admission.

Professor Bandele gave this advice in his address at the matriculation ceremony of the 2018 sandwich contact session intakes. He urged them to work hard so that they can finish their studies on record time and have their results as and when due. He encouraged them to cultivate an enviable reading culture and moral uprightness that the University is noted for.

In his own address, the Provost of the College Dr. AbdulRaheem Yusuf congratulated the students for scaling the admission hurdles. He reiterated the importance of matriculation numbers to the matriculating students and urged them to protect it the way they will protect their bank BVNs.

Dr. Yusuf reminded the students that they are the representatives of their different families, hence the need for them to do everything humanly possible to be good ambassadors of their families.

He warned the students against cultism, examination malpractices and other unethical behaviour saying that the College still maintains her zero tolerance to social vices. The matriculation ceremony, the 20th of its kind was well attended by families and friends of the matriculating students. It was graced by some management staff of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti and Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin.
