Provosts of COED Ilorin and FCE Abeokuta

In a bid to reposition the College, the Acting Provost Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla who has taken a giant stride to change the fortune of the College, led a powerful delegation to Federal College of Education, Osiele Abeokuta in Ogun State, where the team interacted with various centres and directorates in order to promote education enhancement and institutional development so as to share ideas between the two colleges for improved standard.

The Ag. Provost College, Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla, while addressing stakeholders in the meeting on the purpose of the visitation, said it was based on how both institutions could share ideas and benefits towards academic development.

While responding, the Ag. Provost Federal College of Education Osiele, Abeokuta Dr. Rafiu Soyele warmly received the Coed Ilorin team. He commended the Ag. Provost Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla and his entourage for finding time out of their tight schedule to pay a courtesy visit to their institution, which he said will bring a fruitful synergy between the two institutions for educational development.

Dr. Rafiu also informed Coed Ilorin Provost and his team that FCE Abeokuta is running a full developed educational and income-generating system that allows the institution to maintain a standard. Adding that, from the list of past Provosts in the College that have piloted the affairs of the institution, they have performed creditably well, worthy of commendation to the development of the College.

The Registrar FCE Abeokuta, Dr. G.A Adebayo in his speech added that the last convocation they had, they gave out certificates the same day. He advised COED Ilorin to also borrow leaf for educational advancement.

Those in the College entourage are; the Director Consultancy Services Ltd of COE Ilorin, Dr Jimoh Kayode Ibrahim, Director E-Learning, Dr Afolabi B.A, Deputy Director of Undergraduate Studies Dr A .S Jawondo, Director of General Studies in Education Dr. Amudalat Lawal, Director of Academic Planning Mrs. R.F Olarewaju, Director Quality Assurance Mrs F. Olorunleke, and a representative of the College Information Unit Mr. Tajudeen Ridwan.

The highlight of the visit includes; warm reception by the FCE Abeokuta management, visit to FCE Vocational Centre, visit to FCE Abeokuta College Gallery, reception by the Academic Staff Union FCE Abeokuta chapter, Senior Staff Union of FCE Abeokuta, Non-Academic Staff Union of FCE Abeokuta & Women in Colleges of Education (WICE) FCE Abeokuta chapter.
