Kwara State College of Education Ilorin has organized a send–forth celebration for twelve (12) recently retired officers that have reached the statutory age of 60 or mandatory 35 years in service, that is staff that retired between January – 2023 to July 2023. The ceremony had in attendance all Deans, Directors, Heads of Units, and members of staff.

In his address, the Acting Provost, Dr. Ayinde Shehu Jawondo, congratulated the retires for meritorious service to the College. Dr Jawondo further reiterated that the occasion called for thanking giving because all the retirees have been found worthy of honour in recognition of their exemplary service and record of outstanding contributions to the growth and development of the College. He further appreciated all retirees from inception till date. He said they would have been called upon if not for the limited resources at the disposal of the College.

The retirees were presented with certificates of merit and individual gifts by the management of the College to appreciate them for being dedicated and hardworking in the fulfilment of the College Mandate.

Responding on behalf of the retirees, Dr. (Mrs.) Bosede Omowumi Oyedepo, who retired as the Deputy Provost Administration, expressed appreciation to the management and staff of the College for the opportunity accorded her and other retirees and for deeming it well to honour them with a well-packaged send-forth ceremony. She then admonished staff in active service to be dedicated and professional in the discharge of their duties.
